Mycenaean “Phi-type (Φ)” figurine: This handmade figurine belongs to the “Phi-type” figurines due to its resemblance to the respective letter of the Greek alphabet. It depicts a female figure in prayer or supplication. The figure wears headdress and long garment that covers the schematized arms and the chest. Traces of the original painted decoration are preserved. It comes from the Mycenaean settlement of Krisa (present-day Chrisso).
