Services for People with Disabilities

Archaeological Museum of Delphi

The Archaeological Museum of Delphi is fully accessible to people with physical impairment. Access to the Museum’s permanent exhibition is facilitated through an elevator. The visit to the exhibition is unimpeded and involves a specially designed route.    

Archaeological Site of Delphi

For mobility impaired persons, a special vehicle is available to visit the Archaeological Site of Delphi up to the Temple of Apollo, on condition that the Ephorate of Antiquities of Phocis is notified at least 7 days in advance (tel. 2265082312, email: efafok@culture.gr).

Facilities

Restrooms for People with Disabilities are situated in the forecourt of the Archaeological Museum of Delphi.  

Car Park: Parking spaces for People with Disabilities are available at the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi, along the National Highway, between Arachova and Delphi. 

Blind and visually impaired visitors

In the Archaeological Site of Delphi, panels are installed at points of interest providing information written in Braille writing system.

Informative material (pamphlets) written in Braille is also available at the Archaeological Museum of Delphi.   

Educational activities

The Archaeological Museum of Delphi delivers educational activities addressed to blind or partially sighted visitors, during which the participants acquaint themselves with selected exhibits of the Museum through haptic perception.
